Mike Mangione, Commodore
Member of the Beaver Lake Sailing Club for over 8 years.
Mike, his wife Robin and
son Dominic love the sailing lifestyle. They started with a Catalina 22, in 2003
moved up to a Hunter 34, and this spring will begin sailing a Catalina 380. When
not sailing, Mike enjoys doing segmented bowl work on a wood lathe. The Mangione
family enjoyed bare-boating the BVI in April of 2006, 2007, and 2008.


Jesse Johnson, Vice Commodore
Jesse and his wife Laura sail aboard his C&C 26 Air Hawg. Jesse has been a member of the club since 200X and enjoys .....
Tom Unger, Treasurer
Tom, enjoys sailing his Laguna 30 and racing his Merit 25. He shares his sailing dream with his lovely wife Susan. They live in Elkins, Arkansas and enjoy taking trips to the Caribbean and bare boating. Tom is also a member of the Beaver Lake Sail and Power Squadron.
Mike Green, Rear Commodore
Mike has been a sailor since 1979 and raced extensively on Grand Lake through the 1980’s, He has been a member of BLSC for about five years and ran his own electrical and mechanical engineering firm in Fayetteville for 25 years before semi-retiring in 2005. He and his wife Dawn enjoy their boat Footprints, a Catalina 38. You may also see him occasionally playing his guitar and singing by the campfire.

Robin Clark, Member at Large
Robin enjoys serving as crew on her 38 foot Hunter, the Queen Mary, captained by Ted Willis. When not involved in sail club activities, Robin is busy with Homeport Properties and spending time with her large family, which includes Ted’s daughter, Kaylee Willis. Robin also enjoys bicycling, cooking, entertaining, gardening, reading and caring for her dogs.

Greg Carter, Member at Large
Greg has been a member of the BLSC since 1994 and enjoys racing as well as cruising. He and his wife Barbara both really enjoy sailing and anchoring out on Beaver Lake. They will be racing their Hunter 290 (Calaloo) with their grandson Darrick this season. Now that they have both retired, they plan to travel in the USA as well as completing some more ASA sailing courses.
